This notice explains what personal data Nightdesk collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything is unclear, email hello@nightdesk.eu.
Who we are
Nightdesk is run by Daniel, based in Malta. For the data collected on this website, we are the data controller. Contact: hello@nightdesk.eu.
What we collect on this website
- The "Book a call" form: your name, agency, email, phone number if you give it, rough enquiry volume and any notes. We use this only to contact you about Nightdesk.
- The demo chat: the messages you type, so the assistant can reply. Please don't enter real personal details there. Demo messages aren't linked to you or kept after the reply is sent, apart from short-lived technical logs.
- Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don't sell personal data.
Why we're allowed to use it
We handle form submissions on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who ask us to, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Technical logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Who else processes it
- Netlify hosts the website and stores form submissions.
- Anthropic generates the demo chat's replies when the live assistant is switched on.
- Google provides our email.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards allowed under GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep what our contract and the law require. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
When an agency uses Nightdesk
When Nightdesk answers enquiries for an estate agency, that agency is the data controller for its enquirers' data and Nightdesk acts as its processor, under a written data processing agreement. If you've enquired with an agency that uses Nightdesk, please contact that agency about your data. We'll help them answer your request.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit its use. Email hello@nightdesk.eu and we'll reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to Malta's data protection authority, the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
